Completing Your Background Check for Coaching

Please follow these steps to complete your background check:

1. Visit  www.mcdowellagency.com
2. Click CLIENT LOGIN (top right part of page).
3. For User ID, enter: MYSCSA
4. For Password, enter: MYSCSA
5. Click Login.
6. Click request (near top of page).
7. On this page, unless you've submitted a background check for Corcoran Soccer within the last year, leave it set to the default, MYSA Volunteer Package.
8. Type your full name in Electronic Signature.
9. Select this checkbox: My name entered above Signifies my Electronic Signature.
10. Click Continue.
11. Enter the following:

  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Current Address
  • City
  • State
  • ZIP Code
  • Date Of Birth
  • Social Security Number
  • Gender
  • Volunteer’s Primary Phone
  • Volunteer’s Primary Email
  • Volunteer’s Primary Email (again)

12. Click Continue.
13. Appropriate options are already filled in, so click Agree and Submit Order.
14. Print your receipt for your reference.
15. Click logout. 

Please note: All coaches need to complete a background check each year for Corcoran Soccer, even if they have coached for us previously, and even if they have recently completed a background check for another organization or school. This is because background check data is used as Corcoran Soccer's coach registration data for MYSA. 

How this works is that the McDowell Agency processes background checks for MYSA, sending reports listing basic identifying information (name, gender, date of birth, address, phone number, and email address, but not Social Security Number) to Corcoran Soccer's registrar, who in turn submits the coach data to MYSA.
